Burce - g'day how you goin?
Bazza - It's a top day, isn't it?
Burce - Yes, It's mae a night of it.
Bazza - Why not? I chucked a sickie and I'm heading for the pub.
Bruce - Well, I think it beats going to beach and I have a friend who lives near by there,
So that we can drop in on him.
Bazza -It's a good idea, but we need to buy a few tinnies first.

Bars in Taiwan

In Taiwan, there are a few something you cant do in bars:

*you have to be 18 to enter or drink in a bar. If you look young, the bartender will ask to see your photo indentity card.

*you cant allowed to bring your food to eat in bars.

*you cant wear thongs in bars.

*you cant carry illegal things with you such as knife, drung and so on.

*you aren't allowed to smoke in bars or any public places in Taiwan.

In Taiwan, you have to be 18 to go in to a bar, no need to dress up but also don't dress too casual and wearing flip flops is not allowed. You need to buy a ticket to enter and take the ticket to the bar to exchange it for 1 or 2 glasses of wine, you can order food at your table. Another way to enter is you book a room in a bar and the room fee can be exchanget for wine or food, but the room fee is expensive. You are not allowed to bring your own food, alcohol and any drugs.

Australian slang and Pub culture

The Ladies chillin' at the Edingburgh castle pub where we learnt Australian slang and pub culture. After the girls wrote some guidelines for visiting pubs in their own countries.

pubs in Korea

-You have to be 18 to drink in a bar. Usually the staff ask to see your ID card before entering the bar.
-You are't allowed to bring your own snacks, food or alcohol.
-You don't have to dress up.
-Never offer the bar staff a tip.
-Normally, the oldiest person pays for everything.
-You can speak loudly.
-You must turn you back on someone who is older than you when you drink a glass of soju.

Mary : Today, we can have some snags on the barbie

Yesterday the class visited the travellers contact point to see what different job opportunities there were for travellers in Australia, they all chose a job and wrote a cover letter to an employer for the job they found.
